A&E Effects

Reduction in A&E effects has been a high priority for the NHS for years. Emergency departments are overflowing with patients and lacking in beds. The cost of the admissions is around £12 billion. But most significantly, reports from hospitals say that 30-50% of A&E attendees could have been dealt with in primary care.

Why do patients go to A&E when they could be seen locally?

Because they couldn’t speak to their GP.

Our research shows a 20% reduction in emergency admissions from practices using the Dot Community Health model.
